Hi, I'm Kayla!
I’m a Midwest girl born and raised in Champaign, IL, in a close-knit family of four. My journey into the world of multimedia started way back in third grade when I first discovered Windows Movie Maker. I spent hours editing simple videos, and from that moment, I knew I wanted to create.
I picked up a camera for the first time in eighth grade, teaching myself photography by experimenting with landscapes and flowers. However, it was when I began photographing my brother’s baseball games that I truly fell in love with sports photography. The rush of capturing the intensity of the game, the raw emotion, and the perfect moment became my passion.
In 2018, I graduated high school and headed to Ball State University to dive deeper into my craft. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications with a concentration in Digital Video Production, along with a minor in Business Information Technology. During my time at Ball State, I refined my skills and learned to tell stories through video, photography, and technology.
I believe that every moment has a story, and it’s our job as creatives to bring those stories to life, whether it’s through the lens of a camera or the stroke of a paintbrush. That belief drives everything I do, and it’s the heart of my work today.
